Mountain Lion’s notification center is handy, but it seems like the alerts are always in the way of something I need to click. Rather than waiting for them to disappear on their own, you can dismiss them with a two finger (left to right) gesture. Simply place your cursor over the alert, then throw that baby off the screen. Lovely.
